Dr. Fialkoff Presents Dominican Republic Education Trip at the Puerto Rico Dental Society

The Office of Dr. Bernard Fialkoff DDS runs the drug education program by the Foundation for a Drug Free World, and with the foundation's free materials, have been able to conduct more than 600 free drug education events throughout New York and New Jersey. Upon learning about the program, the National Council on Drugs of the Dominican Republic invited us to train their drug counselors on the foundation's curriculum. We presented the trip concept at the September meeting of the Puerto Rico Dental Society. Upon hearing about the trip and its vital importance, the Puerto Rico Dental Society donated to the educational trip to the Dominican Republic.

At their November meeting, we presented the results of the trip to the dental group. Dr. Ivan Vazquez, President of the Puerto Rico Dental Society, and Dr. Maribel Montes, Treasurer of the Puerto Rico Dental Society, invited us to speak and share all of the news regarding the drug education program that we taught on the trip. Dr. Bernard Fialkoff, President of the Foundation for a Drug Free World of The Americas, is seen in these photos showing photos of a drug education event that we conducted at a Dominican Republic middle school, photos of signing an agreement with "Consejo Nacional de Drogas" or National Council on Drugs for national implementation of the Foundation for a Drug Free World program and curriculum, presenting the program on the TV show "Dominican View" and a training seminar that we conducted for 50 drug counselors who will now take the program around the nation.

Due to the Puerto Rico Dental Society's support, we were able to take this program to the Dominican Republic which will now affect millions of pre-teens and teens – by their being able to learn drug education and thus, preventing the abuse of drugs in this country!
